The penultimate round of the Romanian ROK Cup ended the title fight in the Micro ROK category. The dispute remains passionate in the Mini ROK category, where the verdicts will be given in the Bucharest final.

There was no doubt about the winners at Speed Park Bacău: in all categories we had drivers who scored at least 90 points out of a possible 100. No heat win slipped through Robert Pulbere's fingers in Mini ROK, while David Darie (Micro ROK) was beaten just once in four starts.

Micro ROK
Pole position: David Darie (BRT/Alonso Kart/Vortex/Levanto)
Race 1: David Darie (BRT/Alonso Kart/Vortex/Levanto)
Race 2: David Darie (BRT/Alonso Kart/Vortex/Levanto)
Race 3: Nikita Nectarie Borțov (BRT/Alonso Kart/Vortex/Levanto)
Race 4: David Darie (BRT/Alonso Kart/Vortex/Levanto)

With four drivers within three-tenths of a second in qualifying and just 14 thousandths between the front row starters, the Micro ROK competition was shaping up to be exciting. The first leg ended in the same order in which it had started, Darie and Predescu being only 7 tenths apart. Then the reverse grid races began and Darie had no trouble passing all the opponents in Saturday's second sprint.

On Sunday morning, Borțov held off Predescu and Darie for a first seasonal success, the top three finishing within a second. Then, an equally tight final race, where the entire peloton was contained by less than four seconds, also had Darie as the winner. The local BRT team thus celebrated a weekend that couldn't be more inspired in this category. There was a bigger joy for Adam Predescu, the points collected by him already securing the title in 2024.

1. David Darie (BRT/Alonso Kart/Vortex/Levanto) 91p
2. Adam Predescu (Formula K RO/Formula K/Vortex/Levanto) 76p
3. Nikita Nectarie Borțov (BRT/Alonso Kart/Vortex/Levanto) 69p

Mini ROK
Pole position: Robert Pulbere (Gulstar Racing/KR/Vortex/Levanto)

Race 3: Robert Pulbere (Gulstar Racing/KR/Vortex/Levanto)
Race 4: Robert Pulbere (Gulstar Racing/KR/Vortex/Levanto)

Atypical for this season, the way Robert Pulbere dominated the category on the Bacău racetrack tightens the group of favorites before the last stage. 100 points propels Pulbere back into a fair fight with Darren Betea and Victor Gorun. Three drivers, three teams and one champion. Pulbere's advantage in Bacău was reasonable in qualifying (half a tenth of a second), teammate Călin Costea managing to stay close to him in three of the four heats. The Under 10 subcategory went to Gorun, ahead of Vladimir Rebenciuc and Radu Băsescu-Pricop. The ladies trophy was awarded to Carla Maria Roșu.
