Jan and Cosimo the Rok Talent winners 2013

Jan Krencisz (KFJ) and Cosimo Durante (KF) got the best of it. They are, the first one from Poland and the second one from Italy, the ones who won the prestigious title, and the precious prize of the Rok Talent Award.
Krencisz and Durante were selected by the jury panel after all Rok Talent finishers underwent a long analysis and discussion. Rok Talent Award finishers’ skills were very similar and in order to designate the winners, Jan Krencisz and Cosimo Durante, the jury panel’s task was to accurately observe and evaluate all drivers. We wish to remind that the Rok Talent Award 2013 jury panel was made up of experts and professional drivers who did the karting history. They are: Johnny Mislijevic (Supervisor), Marco Ardigò (driver), Armand Convers (driver), Alessnadro Piccini (pilota), Giacomo Aliprandi (Team Manager Tony Kart Racing Team) e Olivier Marechal (Team Manager of the Kosmic Kart Racing Department).
We remind that both Krencisz (KFJ) and Durante will have the chance to be belong to one of the official Vortex teams. So the two winners will attend some International competitions in 2014, wearing the Vortex official colours, fully supported as official drivers, and with no budget to be presented.

“Much attention has been always given to the Rok Talent Award, meaning that the project is appreciated and gives a concrete opportunity to all Rok drivers. We changed the selection method this year, and this way the jury panel had to work during the whole Rok Final event.
I also enjoyed a lot in observing the young Rok Talent drivers in any moment of the event, but…. I dare say that I did not envy the jury panel, for their responsibility in the choice of the winners amongst lots of young talented drivers. I just wish to remind that drivers coming from the Rok Cup always have a talent to show off, just to mention some, Corberi and Pulcini are in the top-list, the first one won the World Cup for KF3 category, while the second one is first at the World Championship for KFJunior.
Finally I wish to congratulate with the winners, Jan and Cosimo, and with all Rokker driver who took part in the Rok Talent project from the beginning of the season. Thank you!”

ROK TALENT WINNERS 2013

Name: JAN KRENCISZ
Nationality: Polish
Age: 14 years old
Category: KFJunior

Curriculum: He won twice, in 2010 and 2011, the PZM Trophy in the Mini category. In 2012 he gained the 2^nd position at the Rok Cup Poland. In 2013 he won the Rok Cup Junior Poland and national KFJ championship

JURY PANEL EVALUATION: He showed off to be a fast driver, to have good driving skills and to be able to perform good recoveries.
In the final he actually recovered many positions after having started from the back of the starting grid. His good recovery skills allowed him to take the 5^th position, signing the best lap in race. He also showed off his good performance in Poland, winning the championship. He’s the winner of the Rok Talent Award 2013, for KF Junior category.

Name: COSIMO DURANTE

Nationality: Italian
Age: 15 years old
Category: KF

Curriculum: He has his debut in the karting field in 2003. In 2006 he gains the 2^nd position in the Baby Championship of the Lombardy Region. In 2009 he is 2^nd seat in the Rok Cup North in the North Area and 3^rd in the Rok Cup Italy. In 2010 he shifts to the Junior Rok class, wins the Rok Cup Italy in the North Area and he’s also 3^rd position in the Rok Cup Italy.
In 2012 he achieves the 2^nd position at the Rok Cup International Final and attends the CSAI Italian Championship for KF3.
In this season he has won the Rok Cup in the North Area in the Junior Rok category, with three victories, three pole positions and three times the podium.

JURY PANEL EVALUATION: He currently runs the Junior category so he will be new to the KF category. Nevertheless the jury panel saw in Cosimo good driving skills, tenacity and speed. These abilities were present both in the Rok Cup International Final, and in the Rok Cup Italy.
These are the reasons why we decided to designate them as winners of the Rok Talent Award 2013.
We think he has a good potential to work in teamwork and to grow rapidly in the KF category.
