ROK DVS IN SINGAPORE READY FOR 2015

15-12-2014

Following the prestigious debut on the occasion of the Rok Cup International Final last October, Rok DVS, was introduced to the great and passionate Asian public, Thursday 11th December. The scene hosting the new engine was Singapore’s KF1 Karting Circuit and at the wheel of the Rok-DVS-Tony Kart-Bridgestone chassis, was World Champion Flavio Camponeschi.
Rok DVS engine’s preview took place during the press conference held by KF1 Karting Circuit Manager Director Richard Tan and OTK Kart Group Marketing Manager.
At the end the activity moved to the 960-metre KF1 Singapore track (KF1karting.com), whose project was realised by German architect Hermann Tilke, who has also signed most of F1 world’s tracks.

Representative of the three categories of the Rok Cup Singapore 2015 were Flavio Camponeschi (Rok DVS), the Indonesian Presley Martono (Rok Junior), 2014 WSK Final Cup winner and the very young British Dylan Bondi (Mini Rok).
Rok DVS did not betray expectations and showed off his best qualities, running over several laps without any concern.
Rok Cup Singapore 2015 could not performed better than it did during last December 11th, at the Singapore circuit.
Richard Tan stated during the press conference: “For the first time, the Rok Cup will be held on local shores, at the KF1 Karting Circuit. We are thrilled to welcome the likes of Flavio Camponeschi, Presley Martono and Dylan Bondi to the launch of the Rok Cup, an event that will see local drivers as well as professional karters from all around the world.
The arrival of such karting champions, as well as the preview of the Rok DVS engine in Singapore for the Rok Cup, will further cement the local karting scene’s status in the international karting circle.”

OTK Kart Group Marketing Manager joined KF1 Karting Circuit Manager stating: “Today’s launch of the Rok Cup Singapore 2015 is an exciting opportunity for us to bring the brand new Rok DVS to an audience outside of Italy. As Singapore is an upcoming player in the international karting scene, we are certain that the Rok Cup will be welcomed by local karters looking for great competitive karting experiences.
We have had the pleasure of working closely with World Champion Flavio Camponeschi in the research and development of the engine, to truly ensure that the DVS is exactly what karters need to excel.”

“It is really exciting to be able to test the Rok DVS on the KF1 Karting Circuit here in Singapore and to share my knowledge with the locals. It certainly is a first for myself and it is great to see that the time and effort we spent developing the Rok DVS has paid off.”
Said Flavio Camponeschi, at the end of his performance and after having supported some local Rok drivers.

As previously said Singapore’s edition of the Rok Cup features three categories Rok DVS (from 15), Junior Rok (from 13 to 15 years old) and Mini Rok (from 9 to 13 years old).
At the end of four competitions (one evening race) three winners will be given the opportunity to compete in the 2015 Rok International Final, at the Italian South Garda Circuit, from October 14th to 17th.
